For everyone who couldn’t join us for the opening of the character mould project, Tom from Rusk edited a short video and put in on youtube, thanks a lot!
Yesterday was supposed to be a fun day. And actually it really was, thanks to all the friends who showed up to celebrate the opening of the character mould art project. I planned it quite a while in advance … just to find out that some things will always go wrong.
Ok, i sprained (possibly broke, it’s still not 100% sure) my left wrist last Tuesday, making it quite hard to paint – not to talk about preparing all the stuff for the event. So thanks a lot to the helping hands – your support was much apprechiated!
Weather was the other bummer, as it started to rain at about 17h, just when the session got really started. So we couldn’t finish all the things we planned, still have a lot of Heineken and Red Bull left. And DJ Buzz and DJ Busy Fingaz didn’t have time to spin their vinyl – Party was over way too early.
But even taking all this into account, it was a nice day at the park, and there’ll be definately another session sooner or later ;)
With Life Ball coming up next week, I thought it would fit to share some of the cleverest bits of furniture I’ve seen … the ribbon stools by Nick Rawcliffe are a dope concept.
A limited run of 100 pieces made of polished, sandcast aluminium are available, more versions (hopefully colored – see prototype) should follow! Available on request at raw studio.
The first fotoshooting … it was about time. Stefan Mertl and me had a fun day yesterday at the Character Mould site, and finally some skatepics from the bowl are online ;)
More pictures should be around after the opening next weekend, if everything works out this should be a blast!
July 17th is the officially announced lemming day! For the first time I’ll host an event, starting at the Lemming Bowl to open the Character Mould project to the public!
Fingers crossed for nice weather, at least the timetable sounds like fun to me ;)
See you in Radstadt, 07.17.
Yeah, what a great July … another concrete skatepark is about to open, once again built by the cradle crew (the guys who helped me to build the lemming bowl). Saalfelden finally has a small but fun Skateplaza, located at Ramseiden 218 (old SAFE area). Opening day is July 7th, at 17h – with a best trick contest, Muckefuck demo and more!
Just in time for the beginning of summer we finished the new sixxa catalog for the second half of this year. And for the first time, we had some help with pictures: Petra Moser took picters of two Bgirls in Maastricht – dope shots!
The 16pages, A6 catalog should be back from the printer soon …
I planned to relaunch my blog for quite a while now, but never really felt I really needed to. When Blogger announced to stop FTP hosting, it was obvious I had to react. Well, glad it took me a while to find time for it, as with the new WordPress 3.0 out, there’s a lot of useful features that came perfectly timed for me.
So there might be some slight problems with older posts, as I’m not sure if everything transfered 100% right … but I’m happy to be back online. And this should fuel my motivation to blog more again ;)
