Here’s the video from my Pecha Kucha talk at Architekturtage Vienna last month. Thanks to Pecha Kucha Vienna for putting it online!
sixxa store is once again the place to be for vinyl toy collectors, as they celebrate the release of the latest dunny series with a proper party! And I’m really stoked to announce one of the artists to take part: Mauro Gatti from Milano, a great illustrator and contributor to the series will be visiting Vienna for a signing!
So, Thursday from 19h … bring your dupes, bring your friends, let’s have a fun evening. I for myself will get 1-2 cases for sure!
The cool cats from Smile At Your Sister are releasing their second edition of “Secret Smile”, a goodie bag full of awesomeness from female artists. #2 includes artwork from Crista Leonard, Jovana Reisinger, Julia Pott, Kitzi, Sarah-Lisa Rudolf and sixxa mastermind Kathi Macheiner.
So expect a fun evening with some sweet actions like an exhbition of artwork by Crista Leonard and Julia Pott, the girls mini ramp session at 17h, a lecture by Jovana Reisigner at 19h and an acoustic concert by Kietzi at 20:30h!

This has been in the works for a while, so I’m stoked to present my latest design for Red Bull. After a short hiatus when it comes to creating stuff for them, we finally found a nice project to collaborate! They briefed me to create a name and logo for a project supporting skateboarders building their own concrete obstacles. After some thoughts and talks to other skateboarders involved (Philipp Shuster did a hell of a job to get this project going!) we came up with “Red Bull DIY supply”.
Next to the logo I design the packaging for the cement. A nice collaboration with one of the leading manufacturers when it comes to concrete, Lafarge jumped on the project and helped out with a lot of cement!
Plus there’s a couple of tools that will be given out to builders, so this includes the necessary floats and trowels. All these come branded as well with a 1c logo we developed to make engravings possible. Watch out for more pics from people building stuff, this is a nice project and we should see a lot happening in the near future!
June 8th is the opening day for a custom toy show at Chrom Gallery Bochum. Featuring a good bunch of amazing artists including Dust, ViseOne, Swanski, Das Mo, Luke Chueh and Red Murtuca, I’m stoke to be part of this group show! Kathi also contributed a custom to it, we’ll post pictures of the show as soon as official photos are out there!
Four shops from Kirchengasse started talks about a small, independent shopping and lifestyle magazine, a print project to cover different areas with content. So don’t expect it to be the average shopping guide and PR articles, but interviews and stories with more background.
Anyway, I was part of the team to develope the name, and after some meetings and brainstormings they asked me to do the whole design for the new mag. So here’s the logo we are going to use … a bold, slab serife that can be transformed depending on the content of the magazine, by adding elements (like the rugged look for the #0). More info about the magazine as soon as it’s here from the printhouse!
I am invited to hold a small presentation at Pecha Kucha Night Vienna, taking place as a event during Architekturtage 2012 with the topic of “anders als geWohnt” an (meaning “different from the usual”). Never attended one, but this should be fun. Be at Gschwandner at around 20h if you want to hear me talking about building character mould.
My brother Mac and me met up in Altenmarkt for the weekend, and we knew we need to take some pictures in the newly painted bowl. I forgot to charge the battery packs of my camera, and some stupid kids waxed the coping, so skating was a bit sketchy, but we managed to get some pics that were fun ;)
It was about time something happened in Radstadt. And after I invited Knarf from Lumpenpack to repaint the lemming, he brought over MeerSau and talked Shida (who’s currently exhibiting at inoperable gallery in Vienna) into joining us to paint the lemming! 2 days of pink and grey turned it into something totally different, yet shows the origin!
Shida and me also painted into the bowl, and this will not be the last time something like this is going to happen. I’m really stoked with the output, thanks guys for coming over … great job!!! And a big thanks to Artie from MTN 94 for supporting me with cans for the project!
