I’ve been taking care of organising and creating designs for the Blockparty Kirchengasse for a while now, and as the keyvisual works for us we decided to keep remixing the past graphics to come up with an updated flyer. So nothing too new, but a decent version for an event that was set up last minute ;)

To add to the project, we designed flags for all participating shops. A cleaner vector version of the logo to make the event more visible and drag more people into the shops.

Matt JOnes aka. Lunartik invited several artist to contribute to his new series of art passes, a handy sleeve for Oyster cards, credit card, business cards or whatever! I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from him to be part of this project, as big names like Sucklord, Triclops, Mr. Scruff and Dave the Chimp are featured!

I really enjoyed my “day off”, and see how other people are organising workshops like this. Good inspiration to go customising toys now for an upcoming show ;)

 The literal meaning of tashkeel التشكيل is “forming” or “shaping”. So they built a structure that actually means “Art” if you translate it … cool thing though, one can skate it.

So what I love about it is the backstory, the small details. The name plus shape and the purpose of it just works brilliantly, I hope this can motivate a lot more people to set up things like this!

We tried to find a decent mix of strongly branded designs and some clever graphics, details will follow as soon as I get final product shots!

I was quite surprised to see 4 glasses that had my designs on it, next to the all-time-classic “Kirk skate” that’s in the 3rd or 4th year already (!!!), there’s two new G2s and a G3 – yeah!

The G2 scary has a dripped design, I morphed the logo and designed an element that would cover the full length of the arms. In a typical black/white/green … this is a perfect colorway for them.

The G3 player has amazing details on the logo. I designed a version with a lot of different textile patterns on it, slicing them up and putting them back together – they did a great job on this one!

And finally the G2 bang … it features the Mecha_Lemming we did 2 years back, but in a totally new colorway, frosted arms. That was the highlight of the day for me ;)

A small clothing line for one of the biggest european wintersports areas, with the task to come up with something more than just a logo on the shirt. So we (Dav and me) took that, and played with the logo. In the end we worked out a system to create witty slogans, based on the logo. “Ski Amadé – made my day” and “Ski Amadé – I am stoked” were the versions they actually did!

January 26th will be another fun event at sixxa store vienna, when Flying Förtress comes over to visit the shop for the release of the new Kidrobot Fatcap Series. He’s part of the artists that contributed designs, and his Vampire Bat is on of the highlights for sure!

And there’s more, if everything goes right, he might customize toys, bring some original artwork and show limited exclusives … let’s see! So be there from 19 – 21h for the release, toy trading and geek talk!

Don’t forget he had more things out, like the Midnight Magi set from Kidrobot/swatch, and actually even without any of these, Baseman is a legend!

This Beanie comes in 2 versions, the lighter one with a larger black logo, the darker one with a multicolored embroidery. Both share the same allover pattern!
